PAYMENT
payment is ALWAYS by paypal, sorry, but I don't accept any other form of payment.
payment is also before work has started on your image, I've been burned by customers in the past before, its not just artists that 'run away with your cash'
large images/anything over $100 may be paid in installments, I'd personaly prefer [firm, wont negotiate unless you have commissioned before] half the payment before the sketch, and the rest before the final image is shown.
the exception to the above is auctions, I would prefer them being paid in full [again, if you have commissioned before, I'll be more lenient on payments] because their usualy for emergency funds
PROCESS
I will show you the sketch/lineart [in my case, the sketch IS the lineart on my images, I don't take the 'sketching' step really] and this is when you make corrections, if you are worried about colours and such, or have not provided me with a colour swatch chart of your prefered colours [blocks of colour labled to the area that they are on your character] I will show a flat coloured image. now is when you can ask for any changes in the colours. I will then shade it... if there is anything wrong once it has been shaded and otherwise finished, I'm sorry, but I wont change it, there was more than enough chance to tell me if something was wrong.
there are afew exceptions to the above:
images with a tight deadline; if your image has a deadline of less than a week [1-2 characters] or less than a month [5 characters+] I will have to complete them, going to everyone and checking everything is ok when I can't gauntee you being online, can forfiet your deadline.
artistic freedom images; you gave me freedom, I'll use it and work with the description you gave me to do it with, if you missed something out, how am i supposed to know it existed?
CONTENT
I'm pretty lax with content. I only have afew things I wont do. I will draw adult art [not posted here of course] gorey art, macro/micro, vore... the list goes on. best to note me with your idea so I can say yay/nay.
IMPORTANT NOTES
this is regarding reference material and other things;
no, I will not copy your favorite artists style to draw this image, I have my own style and will be sticking with it.
when including reference art, if theres something in the image thats different in the other refs, TELL ME which one to follow more closely, or which one to add in details from. for example: one image has your characters hair in a ponytail, the other has it loose, if you don't specify, I'll choose which I go with.
if the image is ADULT don't expect me to put any clothing or accessories on your character unless otherwise specified
Vore images I DO use references for from real animals, this is to ensure accuracy, remember kids, tracing and referencing are both completely different. I may also use refs for loose posing before adding details. [such as stock photos or mannikins]
characters with a high amount of detail WILL have an extra fee charged, I charge based loosely on how long i think it will take me to complete the image, so extra detail means more time, so naturaly I'll charge more.
if I am closed for commissions, I am closed for commissions, don't beg.
don't try and get free art and try and justify yourself, you wouldn't go into an art shop and steal a print, or into the artists alley at a convention and just take an image from an artists table, would you?
DELIVERY
I rarely post images, because I work mostly digital, if the file is LARGER than 1280x1280px then I will need your email to send you the full resolution of it.
TOOLS OF THE TRADE
I use Paint tool SAI for EVERYTHING digital, I am proud to say it is bought, and not cracked also.
I use faber castell polychromos pencils, prisma colour markers and faber castell drawing pencils and lineart pens for traditional work.
and thats everything! if you have a question, feel free to ask.
